Playing the Game
Go Travel
1. Deal four cards to each player.
2. In turn, players ask for a card to match a card in their hand, from anyone. First name the other player, then the region, and then the country desired.
3. Player called gives the card if he/she has it. If the player doesn’t have the card he/she says, "Go Travel." Caller then pulls a card from the draw pile. Whenever caller gets the card asked for, the turn continues.
4. Play continues until all regions (or sets) have been completed. All players want to get all four cards for one region, for example, all four cards in Southern Africa Oceanside.
5. If Caller accidentally calls for a card already in his/her hand, when the discovery is made, that card is forfeited and buried in the draw pile. Leniency for a player just learning is recommended. Never call for a country (or state or city) that is printed or underlined by red.
6. The winner is the player with the most complete sets.
Suggestions for special circumstances:
• Small folks (as young as 3) are playing with siblings and grandparents by matching colors in pairs in the memory game, Concentration.
• For small hands, or anyone just learning, play with just 8 or 9 sets instead of all 13. Cardholders are helpful.
• Occasionally, during a game, a player may run out of cards. If, on his next turn, there are several (4 or more) cards in the draw pile, that player may then draw 2 and play.
