Self-Help International
Since 1959, Self-Help has spanned the globe fighting world hunger and promoting self-reliance. Founder, Vern Schield, was concerned about global missions and world hunger issues. Today, Self-Help focuses its programs on agricultural development by introducing and training in modern methods and appropriate equipment for farming, rural transportation, women's projects, nutrition, marketing, and leadership development.

The Hunger Site
Originally launched in June 1999, The Hunger Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific humanitarian need; the eradication of world hunger. On average, over 220,000 individuals from around the world visit the site each day to click the "give free food" button and help feed the hungry.
